About Gipsey Bridge Preschool

Gipsey Bridge Preschool opened its doors in January 2004 with three morning sessions per week. Due to increasing demand and popularity, we quickly expanded to offer five morning sessions. Today, we operate from 7:30am to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday, during term time.

We provide a range of services, including a breakfast club and afterschool club, serving Gipsey Bridge Academy, New York Primary, and Frithville Primary. Additionally, we offer a home pick-up and drop-off service for parents who need it (subject to availability and location).

Our preschool welcomes children aged 2 to 11 years old, and we do not have a catchment area, meaning we are open to families from all locations. Over the years, we have collaborated with many schools in the Boston, Coningsby, Tattershall, Stickney, Sibsey, and Spilsby areas, as well as our local schools.

What We Offer

Gipsey Bridge Preschool is registered with OFSTED under the Early Years Childcare Compulsory Register. Our most recent inspection in April 2023 awarded us an overall rating of ‘GOOD,’ a testament to our hard work and dedication. Highlights from our report include praise for our clear vision, supportive staff, and nurturing environment.

Our setting features two main rooms: the Rainbow Room and the Sunshine Room. The Sunshine Room is designed for our 2-3 year olds, focusing on developing personal, social, and emotional skills through fun-based learning. The Rainbow Room caters to our rising fives (3-4 year olds), preparing them for school with activities that promote independence, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Breakfast Club

Our Breakfast Club offers a varied menu, including cereal and fruit daily. We help children prepare for their day by discussing plans and activities ahead.

Sunshine Children

For our youngest children, we provide a playful and creative environment to explore and learn. Our key focus is on building relationships and developing early language skills.

Rainbow Children

We ensure our rising fives are school-ready by encouraging independent thinking, problem-solving, and effective communication. Weekly P.E. sessions are included, where children learn to dress and undress themselves.

Afterschool Club

Our Afterschool Club welcomes children aged 2-11 years, offering a safe and social space with a range of activities. We provide collection from Gipsey Bridge Academy, New York Primary, and Frithville Primary. Parents can opt for a cooked tea as part of the service.

Home-Cooked Food

All meals are prepared on-site, and we hold a 5* rating with our local authority. We cater to various allergies and dietary requirements, offering nutritious breakfasts, lunches, teas, and healthy snacks throughout the day.
