Meet the Team
Come and learn more about who we are and how we constantly strive to create a nurturing, home-from-home environment for your child.
We have recently celebrated our 20-year anniversary, a significant milestone for our small rural childcare hub.
Our dedicated team is led by Maxine our Manager, and Elaine, our Deputy Manager. Over the years our team has expanded, and we now have 11 staff members who are committed to providing the best quality experiences for your child.
We strive to create a warm, safe, and homely environment, and work closely with parents to ensure a smooth transition for children into our setting.

Maxine – Manager
Maxine has been the heart and soul of The Nest, home of Gipsey Bridge Preschool, since its inception in January 2004. With over 20 years of experience, her caring nature ensures each child is celebrated, receiving the best care and education. She ensures that the setting operates smoothly and that every child receives rich and varied experiences.
Elaine – Deputy Manager
Having been with us since January 2004 Elaine brings a wealth of experience, and a nurturing touch to her role, whilst being a calm and dependable member of the team. As Deputy Manager, she supports Maxine and the rest of the team, ensuring high standards of care and education.

Emily
Emily loves getting to know each child’s personality, filling the preschool with kindness to create a joyful environment for our little ones. Her favourite time of the year is Christmas and she loves song sharing with the children at this special time of year.

Catarina
Catarina’s warmth and creativity make her a beloved member of our team. She is always making the children laugh, and likes to play lots of fun games.

Jade - General Assistant
Jade helps keep our preschool running smoothly with her efficient and caring support. She helps to make healthy and nutritious meals, and works hard to keep the place clean and tidy.
Thea - Night Owls
Thea runs our after school club, Night Owls. She comes up with a whole host of fun ideas for the club, and is always creating new and exciting activities for our children. Outside of The Nest Thea is a singer and dancer who loves to perform, and can often be found creating mini dance parties for the Night Owls.
